Nothing OR Everything

13,000.00

The concept of “everything or nothing” is subtly conveyed through these holes. They represent the idea of vast cosmic emptiness, where the boundaries between existence and nothingness blur. Each hole is a window into the infinite possibilities and mysteries of the universe, inviting viewers to contemplate the profound questions of existence and the nature of reality.

Description

The painting features a mesmerizing pour art background dominated by swirling shades of deep blue and rich purple. These colors blend seamlessly across the canvas, creating a cosmic and ethereal backdrop that seems to ripple with movement and energy.

Amidst this swirling sea of colors, scattered throughout the canvas, are circular voids or “holes.” These holes vary in size and shape, suggesting portals or gateways into the unknown. Some are small and delicate, while others are larger and more prominent, creating a sense of depth and mystery within the painting.

The pour art technique enhances the painting’s abstract and fluid nature, symbolizing the ever-changing and unpredictable forces at play in the cosmos. The colors themselves evoke a sense of depth and perspective, with darker shades suggesting the depths of space and lighter hues hinting at distant galaxies and nebulae.

Overall, this painting with its pour art background of blue and purple, punctuated by holes, invites viewers on a visual journey through the cosmic landscape. It encourages contemplation of the universe’s vastness, the interplay between existence and emptiness, and the mysteries that lie beyond our understanding.

Pranav, our little artist is 11 years old and he loves to play with colours in unconventional ways. He finds brush boring and enjoys playing with his fingers , paper, leaves , knives, sponge and everyday things.

More about pranav
Pranav is from Gurugram , India and lives with his family. Pranav was 2 weeks when his family got to know that he had Down Syndrome. As expected ,it seemed that the sky had fallen on them. But that did not stop them they worked hard to understand all the different ways to educate pranav and help him cope with his slower learning rate but like a shimmer of hope at the end of a tunnel.

Pranavs journey
When Pranav was 6 years , during his occupational therapy (OT) classes, a new art educator- Rahul sir conducted a trial painting session. Pranav’s family was a little sceptic and weren’t sure if it would be of any benefit, as kids his age use crayons and sketch pens. Pranav sat on artist chair and he was only supposed to play with water and colours .His parents were amazed to see how sir made Pranav splash water and pour colors and something magical was created .This trial class was a new found joy for him. Few sessions with Pranav’s sir and his family could see the progress. Pranav’s family could see how his eyes would always light up at the sight of colours. This gave them encouragement and set the seed for what Pranav is today.
Covid time was a big help. Earlier he could do painting only during painting classes but during covid, he was able to do it everyday. So thank you to YOU TUBE n PINTEREST where Pranav and his mother would together watch lots of videos and experiment various ideas. This added fun to what he was already doing and this meant that everyday he could try new ideas. Pranav has participated in many National and 1 International Art Exhibition. His art has been featured on multiple platforms . He was the youngest artist at DEEP DOWN ARTS EXHIBITION , MEXICO. Pranav has also done 3 solo exhibitions at prestigious locations. Pranav’s paintings are full of life and ooze a sense of positivity and optimism. He is currently in an inclusive school setup. You can follow is art journey.
