Description
“Indradhanush,” meaning “rainbow” in Hindi, is an abstract painting that beautifully encapsulates the essence of this natural phenomenon. The painting features a stunning array of colors, seamlessly transitioning from deep reds to purples, mimicking the natural gradient of a rainbow. The fluid strokes and blending of hues create a sense of motion and energy, making the colors appear as if they are flowing across the canvas. The predominantly white background allows these vibrant colors to stand out vividly, enhancing the sense of depth and space within the painting.
The artist’s technique in “Indradhanush” adds a rich texture and depth to the piece. The use of acrylic or watercolor paints allows for smooth transitions between colors, creating a fluid, almost watery effect. In some areas, the paint is applied more thickly, creating raised surfaces that catch the light differently and add a tactile quality. This interplay between smooth and textured areas adds visual interest and complexity, making the painting a captivating piece to explore. The varied textures enhance the overall dynamism, drawing the viewer into the vibrant and lively depiction of a rainbow.
“Indradhanush” can be seen as a celebration of nature’s fleeting beauty. The rainbow, a symbol of hope and promise, is rendered in a way that captures its transient nature. The flowing colors and abstract forms evoke the experience of seeing a rainbow in the sky, a brief but magical moment. The painting invites personal interpretation, perhaps as a metaphor for the interconnectedness of life or the joy found in fleeting moments of beauty. “Indradhanush” is a testament to the power of abstract art to convey deep, meaningful experiences, delighting the eyes and touching the heart with its vibrant celebration of the natural world.

More about pranav
Pranav is from Gurugram , India and lives with his family. Pranav was 2 weeks when his family got to know that he had Down Syndrome. As expected ,it seemed that the sky had fallen on them. But that did not stop them they worked hard to understand all the different ways to educate pranav and help him cope with his slower learning rate but like a shimmer of hope at the end of a tunnel.
Pranavs journey
When Pranav was 6 years , during his occupational therapy (OT) classes, a new art educator- Rahul sir conducted a trial painting session. Pranav’s family was a little sceptic and weren’t sure if it would be of any benefit, as kids his age use crayons and sketch pens. Pranav sat on artist chair and he was only supposed to play with water and colours .His parents were amazed to see how sir made Pranav splash water and pour colors and something magical was created .This trial class was a new found joy for him. Few sessions with Pranav’s sir and his family could see the progress. Pranav’s family could see how his eyes would always light up at the sight of colours. This gave them encouragement and set the seed for what Pranav is today.
